Looks like I lost my post again. But I'll try to reconstruct what I said...
Don, your activity has increased a lot over the past several weeks, especially the treadmill time. Speaking strictly for myself I sometimes push it so hard that I am left not being able to do anything for the next day or two. So I am learning sometimes it is counter-productive to beat my body up, just because some days I can. And the next day I'm back to where I can't, and sometimes even the day after that. My goal is becoming more about staying reasonably active every day than pushing myself to where I am laid up because it takes longer nowadays to bounce back.
We didn't take the pedal boat out at all this year. It is a lot of work loading it on the trailer and getting it into the water, then getting it back out. The pedaling part is fine because it is done at leisure. The boat has developed a leak around the cranks and while I can get parts to fix it, it is just like pulling teeth to get Joe interested in fixing something he feels he doesn't know how to do. I think the next kid who asks about the boat out in the yard I will just tell them to take it home with them.
Speaking of boats, we took our duck boat whitewater rafting maybe 15 years ago. I had never been out in moving water with so many huge rocks and it scared me so bad I cried all the way down the river to where we had parked the truck to get out of the water. Never again. That ain't my idea of fun.
2762 mostly shopping steps today. Bought a new pair of shoes last Saturday with good cushioning and arch support and after staying off my feet from Sunday til yesterday, my feet don't ache this evening.
This is what I did today: 15 counter push-ups; 25 arm swings; 15 bicep curls; 25 wrist/forearm curls; 12 shoulder presses; 7 rounds of 2 minutes at 1 mph on dread-O; 2 minutes on the pedal bike; and 10 seated leg raises. Might have been able to do another round or two but I would be pushing it a bit.
my philosophy: Do all you can while you can then stop and be happy. Tomorrow is another day.
Joy, I miss those days when I could do white-water.

Trying to find a routine that I can do every day.
