sister_petra I have not got the slightest idea why Don just dropped out of sight "so to speak" I had mentioned to him last time that he should teach his daughter how to send a message. Going to go to exercises and post a note to Joy.
Has anyone heard from Don , he posted a game about 4 days ago ,he played once , he had got several things he wanted from a group that supplies medical things , and sounded like he was real happy with them.
That was a scary experience for sure. Was always told to call ambulance if I expected prompt attention at ER. Glad you did not have to languish in the waiting area and also glad you are doing well. Wish we had a home-visit practice here. So happy you are able to access this type care. I know it will make things a lot easier for you now.
After around 11am CST I had no internet all day on 2/6 and it was spotty all last week, which I why I never saw this message. Hoping to read a good update from you later today. Hugs and prayers.
I knew it!!! I was just getting ready to write a note to see if anyone had heard from Don as the last I heard was Sat. I had sent an very short Email and ask was he okay but had not heard so I knew something was going on .
Well I guess it started that I was severely SOB and much more tired than usual, could hardly stay awake. Didn't want to eat or even drink water. By the way Sandy, Saturday was the day Angela called 911 for the paramedics to get me to the ER. My homefill tanks wouldn't make it and I don't even think I could have walked to the car. I guess the first thing they did at the hospital was an ABG which showed I was retaining co2 and my PH was out of whack.
It took forever to get me a room in intensive care. Still foggy about the details but after what seemed like forever in the ER, they finally got me a room; I guess someone was discharged. By then it was so late that I think I just fell asIeep.
The next morning I was moved to intensive care. After my meds, blood work and IV steroids and many finger stabs for blood sugar, I was put on a CPAP which helped; however, the second night after just about half an hour, a hose blew out and the respiratory tech put me on hospical air. I couldn't believe he didn't just get another machine. I know I'm not their only patient but they should be prepared for emergencies.
Gonna stop here and continue later but before I forget; a social worker arranged to have an at-home group act as my PCP which is great; they can write scripts, do blood work, even have xrays done at home. Had two visits so far, another is coming tomorrow 2/5/20.
can only assume that he is to ill to get to the computer or maybe his computer or internet are the problem. Very anxious to hear from him.
